  • Welcome to the community.

At St. Louis Community Credit Union, it’s not about us, it’s about you. As a not-for-profit financial institution, you’re the owner, and you’re the primary reason we exist. And we’re not doing our job if you don’t feel important.

We’re not a “Big Bank,” but we’re proud of that! We meet the ever-growing banking needs of all people, including low- and moderate-income individuals, offering a full-range of products and services: car and home loans, checking accounts, electronic services, you name it. And it’s easy to become a member. If you live, work, or worship in much of the St. Louis area and some of Illinois, you qualify. Not only that, but when you bank with us, you are making a difference. The dollars we earn are returned back to the community in the form of lower rates, fewer fees, locations in the heart of the community, and more.

Be proud of where you bank. Help us in our efforts to make St. Louis a better place through free financial education, second-chance products and every choice that we make.

  • It’s not just about the rates – but, they are good!

Get your future loans from a credit union. St. Louis Community can offer better rates and lower fees because we are member-owned and not-for-profit.

And if you’re interested in a place to bank that doesn’t make quick decisions based solely on your credit, come talk to us. We will listen to your story and determine how we can best meet your needs. If we can’t offer one loan product, we’ll offer another way to help you. We don’t want you walking out without a solution. That’s why we’ve built more than just conventional loans with great rates and terms (which we do really, really well), we also built second-chance and credit-building loans. We’re here for you.

The best part about our loans is that they actually mean something. They help make a difference for that single mother who takes her children back and forth to school or to that first-generation homeowner. We invest dollars back into the community, to build a financially stable environment for your family and ours.

  • Check us out for your checking!

For most of us, checking accounts are a practical necessity. We just want to see enough money in our accounts to live, and would love to watch it grow. Well, we want that for you too, but we also want to offer more. We want to provide the tools you need to manage and grow your money. We want you to build the best life possible for your future and your family. Bring your checking and savings accounts to us, and we’ll work with you to help you understand and take control of your finances.

By having an account with us, you are making a statement. Every account we hold helps our overall community giveback. You’re a part of the difference we make in the community!

  • We’re ready to help you save!

Saving money is so important. Most people know that, but where do you start? Do you wish you could set up a budget and put a percentage of your paycheck into savings? If you’re good at saving, we salute you.

But if you’re like so many who sometimes don’t even want to look at the balance in your account, we get that. Saving money isn’t easy, and you need an invested financial partner who has your best interests in mind. Let us be that for you. It’s time to open an account at St. Louis Community.

  • How can you bank here? Let me count the ways…

A good place to bank doesn’t just have friendly people and great products. It also has convenient access to your money. Nearly all of our offices are located on public transportation routes, near transit stops or on major bus lines. In fact, 98% of all city residents live within two miles of a St. Louis Community branch. With 15 locations and growing in the St. Louis area, and 30,000 ATMs, we’ve made banking easy. We’re here to build a relationship, and we’ve hired staff to do just that.

  • Ways we can help you!

Have you heard about Prosperity Connection®? That’s our non-profit partner affiliate organization whose mission is to help offer you economic independence. How? With financial education, one-on-one financial coaching and adult scholarship possibilities. At an Excel Center® – there are four locations – you can learn budgeting strategies, get help with improving your credit score, and attend different evening and weekend seminars. Oh, and it’s all free! It’s a place that will help you along your journey.

Of course, the Excel Center isn’t the only tool that we offer our members. Check out the financial education link below to see the adult, youth and family resources.

  • You deserve a second chance.

We know what it’s like to have challenges in your financial past. But we’re here to step up and start a relationship. Regardless of your past, we want to say “yes” to you. Even if we can’t provide a traditional banking product, we have second-chance products that say, “You can take charge of your financial future.”

We created them as a first step for you. Our goal is that you’ll move up out of the second-chance products and use other services in the future. Even if you’re stuck in a payday-loan cycle, we have a product and a plan to help you get out. Let us work with you to better your family’s future.

  • Community Is Our Middle Name.

Giving back to the communities where we live and work is an important aspect of who we are. It’s in our DNA. Whether it is through a community event or our financial education outreach efforts, what we do matters. We take our commitment to the community very seriously. That will never change.
